Ravi Teja’s film Mr Bachchan received a U/A certicate from the Censor Board following several modifications being made in the film including a poster of Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha.
Ravi Teja’s upcoming Telugu film Mr Bachchan is the official remake of Ajay Devgn’s 2018 film Raid. Ahead of the film’s release on August 15, the makers were asked to make some major modifications by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, one of the major changes the Ravi Teja film had to undergo was a poster of Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha, which was shown when the credits rolled. The CBFC asked the makers of Mr. Bachchan to replace it with a poster of the actor and his wife Jaya Bachchan.
As per the report, several modifications were asked to be made by the censor board. A disclaimer stating that the film is fictional and has no resemblance to any place or person was to be added. The makers were also directed to remove or replace certain abusive words, while a one-second scene showing blood was chopped off. Other than this a two-minute-long scene that showed a child smoking was modified and the beedi was replaced with a pencil.
