It was nine years of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ on July 17. The film released in 2015, but the Kabir Khan-directorial still remains a favourite for many. It is not just the bond between Harshaali Malhotra’s character, Munni and Salman Khan’s Bajrangi, but also the fact that it marked a departure from Salman’s usual roles that attracted (and still does) cinema enthusiasts.

In fact, the film had also left an impact on educator, author and philanthropist Sudha Murthy. She also felt that no one could have done justice to the character of Bajrangi. Let’s revisit on Throwback Thursday.

In 2023, Sudha Murty appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show along with actor Raveena Tandon and producer Guneet Monga. There, she shared her love for films and also admitted to watching several of them. It was then that she said, “When I saw ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, I said the innocence of a child, only Salman Khan can bring it on the screen. He is fit to do Bajrangi Bhaijaan. I enjoy movies.”
