Throwback: When Salman Khan fans were upset with his bloating tummy as he rehearsed for a dance performance

Salman Khan, who has long been an icon of fitness and charisma, had once landed in a soup as fans criticised his physique. A video from 2022 saw the actor rehearsing for a performance as part of the ‘Dabangg’ tour. The once-chiseled superstar appeared to have gained weight significantly. His bloating tummy drew attention, and fans were upset with his physique. Interestingly, this shift in Salman Khan’s physique coincided with his role in the film ‘Antim’. In the movie, he showcased a chiseled, rugged look, which left many wondering whether it was all smoke and mirrors. However, Salman being the fitness obsessed that he is, swiftly transformed into his chiselled personality and charmed fans.

The actor is currently shooting for ‘Sikandar’. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Suniel Shetty and Prateik Patil Babbar. Salman is all set to treat fans with his action packed avatar in ‘Sikandar’ during Eid 2025. Apart from this, Salman also has ‘Tiger versus Pathaan’ in the pipeline, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan.

Recently, Salman Khan announced the release date of ‘Angry Young Men,’ a docuseries that delves into the legendary creative partnership of iconic screenwriters Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar. The three-part series provides a glimpse into the transformative impact of Salim-Javed on Hindi cinema during the 1970s. Their collaboration birthed timeless classics like ‘Sholay,’ ‘Deewaar,’ and ‘Don,’ resonating with audiences across generations.

The ‘Angry Young Men’, narrated by the duo themselves, will also feature prominent figures from Indian cinema. It is produced by Salman Khan Films, Excel Media & Entertainment, and Tiger Baby, with executive producers including Salma Khan, Salman Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, and Reema Kagti.
