According to SCMP , the life of Aryan Khan – son of famous Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan – is a fairy tale filled with wealth. Since birth, he has lived a life that any child would dream of.
Actor Shah Rukh Khan gave Aryan the life of his dreams, from international trips , lavish parties to the opportunity to inherit a huge fortune from his family. However, on October 2, the fairy tale officially ended after Aryan Khan was arrested. He was involved in the use and sale of drugs on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai, India.
“Aryan Khan has traded all his luxuries for limited meals, strict working hours and roll calls at one of India’s most notorious prisons, Mumbai Central,” SCMP wrote.

Life in prison
On October 3, Hindustan Times reported that Aryan Khan was arrested. The arrest came a day after India’s Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai.
In a statement, the NCB representative said that the authorities discovered that people on the ship were using drugs. After checking WhatsApp messages, Indian police discovered that actor Shah Rukh’s son was buying and selling drugs and dealing with international criminals, Economic Times reported.
After being detained, Aryan repeatedly denied the claims. His bail application was rejected in court on October 20. The NCB is concerned that Shah Rukh Khan’s son used his money and power to tamper with evidence and pressure witnesses to get free, according to Hindustan Times.
Before being brought to court, Aryan Khan was held in India’s most notorious detention facility. According to Bollywood Life , Mumbai Central is one of the city’s oldest prisons. The prison covers an area of about 11,400 square meters and can accommodate up to 2,500 inmates.

According to India Today, even though he is a rich kid or a young master in real life, when he goes to prison, Aryan Khan must follow the rules and use prison food. According to regulations, people who are being detained or arrested are not allowed to bring food from outside. Families are only allowed to send money for Aryan to buy food coupons at the canteen.
Bollywood Life reported that Khan had to use the same water from the toilets to bathe and wash his clothes as other prisoners. In addition, Mumbai Central Prison, also known as a “graveyard”, has no fans despite the sweltering Indian heat .
Aryan was initially held in isolation. He was later moved to a communal cell after testing negative for the virus.
After entering prison, the son of a famous actor must follow a common schedule such as waking up at 6am, having breakfast at 7am, lunch at 11am and dinner at 6pm. After dinner, prisoners are allowed to move around the prison grounds before the prison orders prisoners to go to bed, according to India Today.
Hindustan Times reported that Aryan is under 24-hour surveillance in prison. Currently, the life of one of India’s most notorious rich kids is always facing danger, especially the epidemic.
In May 2020, Mumbai Central Prison had an outbreak that caused a stir in public opinion. More than 77 prisoners and 26 staff members tested positive for Covid-19 after being tested.
