Gilas Pilipinas members Justin Brownlee and Kai Sotto are currently running second and third in the Tissot Fan Voting MVP for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament Latvia leg.

Based on the running tally of fan votes on the FIBA website, Brownlee is in second place with around 400,000 votes, while Sotto is in third place with over 200,000 votes.

Cameroon’s Jordan Bayehe is in first place with over 900,000 votes as of this writing.

Behind Sotto are Brazil’s Bruno Caboclo, Cameroon’s Jeremiah Hill, Brazil’s Marcelino Huertas, Latvia’s Davis Bertans, Montenegro’s Nikola Vucevic, Latvia’s Arturs Zagars, and Montenegro’s Marko Simonovic.

FIBA, however, clarified that the said Fan Vote MVP is not an official award from the world basketball body

“(This fan voting) is created solely to enhance the experience of the fans to show their support for their favorite players in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2024 Latvia,” FIBA said.
