Kalki 2898 AD box office collection day 23

Kalki 2898 AD box office collection day 23: Nag Ashwin’s multi-starrer film Kalki 2898 AD has successfully entered its fourth week and has crossed the Rs 600 crore mark, becoming the fifth highest-grosser of all time in India. Kalki 2898 AD is now just Rs 38 shy of crossingJawan’s lifetime India nett collection. The top four films are Baahubali 2 The Conclusion (Rs 1020.42 crore nett), KGF Chapter 2 (Rs 859.7 crore), RRR (Rs 782.2 crore) and Jawan (Rs 640 crore). This also makes Kalki 2898 AD the third biggest grosser for its leading man Prabhas.

According to the early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, the Prabhas-starrer earned Rs 2.65 crore nett on its 23rd day with majority of the crowd showing up for the evening and night shows compared to morning and afternoon. This takes the film’s nett collection to Rs 602.1 crore.

The film, which opened at a massive Rs 95.3 crore India nett on June 27, didn’t have any major competition at the box office. With Akshay Kumar’s Sarfira and Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 not impressing the audience, Kalki 2898 AD got a chance to maintain its strong hold at the box office.

On Friday, Vicky Kaushal’s Bad Newz hit the theatres and has earned Rs 8.5 crore, becoming the actor’s biggest opener. Kalki 2898 AD, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, is likely to get affected with Bad Newz taking away a lot of shows and footfall. However, other than Bad Newz, there are no big movies scheduled in other regional languages to challenge the film at the box office. It needs to be seen if the Nag Ashwin-directorial film surpasses Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan. The film, however, has surpassed the Rs 1000 crore mark globally.

Kalki 2898 AD, which is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 600 crore, has already surpassed the all time India collection of films like Pathaan, Gadar 2, and Animal.
