Kate Hudson Describes Her Relationship with Nick Jonas as ‘a Moment’: ‘He’s Like an Old Man in a Young Man’s Body’

Kate Hudson is remembering a “moment” in time.

On the Wednesday, July 17 episode of Watch What Happens Live, the How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days star spoke about her relationship with Nick Jonas. Hudson, 45, stopped by the talk show to promote her debut album Glorious.

During the Plead the Fifth segment, host Andy Cohen began his question for Hudson, “In 2015, 2016, there were countless rumors about you dating Nick Jonas, which you skirted around, including on this very show.”

He continued: “Looking back on it now, how would you characterize that relationship?”

In response, Hudson laughed awkwardly before giving her official response. “A moment? A moment,” she said. “Lovely, fun, kind… he’s like an old man in a young man’s body, and we love him.”

Hudson and Jonas were rumored to be together almost 10 years ago. In September 2015, the actress and singer were spotted together at Disney World.

Though they never confirmed they dated, Jonas, 31, praised the Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery actress, saying he had  “so much admiration and respect” for her during a 2016 interview with Complex.

“Kate’s incredible. We had an unbelievable connection as two humans who just admire things about each other, and see something in each other that’s beautiful,” he said at the time. The rumored couple was last seen together at the Met Gala in 2016.

Hudson also spoke about their rumored relationship in 2015 during a separate WWHL appearance. When a fan called in to ask about her and Jonas, Cohen, 56, gave his two cents about the “hot” celebrities.

“I love it when hot people are together. It’s my favorite thing,” he said at the time. “I hope something’s happening, even if it’s casual.”

Hudson, meanwhile, responded: “I don’t like addressing any kind of gossip.”

In another WWHL episode, Hudson’s brother Oliver kept quiet on any dating rumors. During his 2020 appearance, he said that he and his sister haven’t spoken about the reported relationship.

“There are things my sister and I don’t talk about,” the actor said when asked if the pair were “canoodling.”

Hudson is engaged to producer Danny Fujikawa and they share daughter Rani Rose. Jonas, meanwhile is currently married to actress Priyanka Chopra, and they share one daughter, Malti.
