The recent incident at RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata has sparked outrage across India, from everyday citizens to celebrities. The tragic event, which involved a young victim who was assaulted during her 36-hour duty at the hospital after midnight, has led to widespread condemnation and demands for justice.

Kareena Kapoor took to social media to express her outrage and call for justice. In a heartfelt post, she drew parallels to the infamous Nirbhaya case, pointing out how, even 12 years later, the same horrific crimes continue to occur, with little change in society. Her post was captioned with the hashtag #FreedomForWomen, reflecting her deep concern for the safety and rights of women.

Alia Bhatt also expressed her frustration, stating, “Another day of realization that women are still not safe anywhere. Nothing much has changed.” The incident, which took place at midnight, has led to widespread protests by women demanding justice. On August 9th, a group of people entered the hospital premises, vandalized property, and even pelted stones at the police.

Along with Kareena Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, several other celebrities, including Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Preity Zinta, and Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda, have joined the call for justice for the victim.
