In a video released by Kalki 2898 AD makers, the DOP detailed the making of the blockbuster, complimenting the cast led by Prabhas for bringing something unique to the table.

Djordje Stojiljkovic, the director of photography for the blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD has revealed what it was to shoot for the sci-fi epic, which featured a mammoth cast led by Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone among others.

In a video released by the makers detailing the making of the recently released film, the DOP complimented the talented cast and said each cast member brought something unique to the table.

“Amitabh Bachchan sir as Ashwatthama was extraordinary! I especially enjoyed atmospheric shots in the cave. Bachchan sir would often stay on set helping me prepare light for the next shot without even asking for a double, many times! Kamal Haasan sir, who I met at the end, was equally impressive.

“Prabhas brought a wonderful energy on set, always joking and keeping things light. His portrayal was accurate, and his dynamic postures made every shot memorable. I cannot imagine anyone else portraying the part the way he did.”

Djordje Stojiljkovic then spoke about Deepika Padukone, adding that he now understands why people call her “queen”. Deepika has received rave reviews for her performance in the Nag Ashwin directorial.

“Deepika, now I understand why they call her a queen. She genuinely appreciated the shots I provided, especially the profile shots. Her support and encouragement was priceless and it really was motivating me to get better results every time,” he added.

Djordje Stojiljkovic isn’t the only one who spoke about Amitabh Bachchan’s humbleness s on sets. Previously, while talking about working with Bachchan, Nag Ashwin had also mentioned how he was “completely taken aback” when during the film’s first schedule, the megastar asked for permission to use the washroom.

Bachchan later blogged that he doesn’t understand why him seeking permission to use the restroom has led to a “hullabaloo” of his humbleness, which, he feels, is him merely being a sincere actor hired to do his job.

“It is not being humble of setting example .. it’s just an act of extreme normality .. and the hullabaloo is deafening ..And the director saying it was one hellava thing that I asked him permission to go to the washroom during the shoot ..Yes I do need to take permission .. it is his set, his time , he is the Captain, I am the servant that has been employed, if I need to go for nature’s call , I must seek his permission!!!” Bachchan wrote.
