Superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth crossed paths at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s Shubh Ashirwad ceremony on July 13 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. Viral photos and videos from the ceremony captured the moment when Rajinikanth, accompanied by his wife Latha Rajinikanth, approached Amitabh Bachchan, who attended the event with his granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda and son-in-law Nikhil Nanda.

In a touching gesture, Rajinikanth was seen walking towards Amitabh and intending to touch his feet, but Big B stopped him and warmly embraced him instead. Take a look:

After participating in the grand wedding ceremonies, Amitabh Bachchan took to his blog to reflect on reconnecting with old friends. He expressed gratitude for the overwhelming love and affection he received, noting that while the physical appearances of his well-wishers may have changed over the years, their sincere affection for their shared moments together remains constant.

He wrote, “Back from a glorious wedding and the feel after a very long time of public exposure, the wealth of love and affection that I can possibly think of with so many old acquaintances .. they seemed to have changed in their physiognomy, but extremely sincere in their affection towards the association and the love of our times well spent together.”

Big B also shared how meeting with old friends evoked many memories in him that he had forgotten over time. He wrote, “This is what life is all about .. the associations and love and care. It is strange how the little things that matter to each other , remain, but those that had a deeper association or a meaningful spent time, is lost and forgotten .. well not really forgotten , but kept on the back burner, and remembered or brought out only when there is required meaning of the association.”

Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth last collaborated 32 years ago in the blockbuster film Hum, and fans are eagerly anticipating their reunion on screen in the upcoming Tamil movie Vettaiyan.
