A contestant on KBC made an unusual request to Amitabh Bachchan. The request left everyone in splits.

Amitabh Bachchan was left speechless after a female contestant made a strange request in the recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati. In the episode aired on Monday, a contestant named Alka Singh took the hotseat and was trying her luck at winning the grand prize. In between answering questions, she took a moment to make a request to Amitabh. She asked Big B if she could touch his beard. The requested left him in shock.

“It might be awkward for you but I want to touch your beard,” the contestant said. Amitabh Bachchan’s face dropped, with an expression of shock taking over his face. “You want to touch my beard?” Amitabh asked, to check if he heard it right. Alka nodded to reconfirm. “But, why?” Amitabh asked, leaving everyone in splits.

“My brother stays clean-shaven. I want to touch this white beard of yours,” she said, as reported by India Today. Amitabh teased, “When your brother turns 87, he too will have a white beard.” He then said he will let her touch it after the episode ends.

Amitabh has been busy with work this year. The actor was seen in the blockbuster film, Kalki 2898 AD in June. The film, directed by Nag Ashwin, featured Big B as Ashwatthama. He has also been busy with the making of Vettaiyan, his Tamil debut film. Amitabh reunites with Rajinikanth after 32 years for the film. Despite his busy schedule, Amitabh ensures he meets fans on Sundays.

Last Sunday, Amitabh shared photos as well from his fan meet on his blog and expressed his gratitude towards them. “The day has been in the work on the body and the mind .. and eventually with the DAY of the GOJ .. and the joy and heartwarming responses that the Ef and the well wishers , spend their time and energy to be at the gates and to express their love .. It has been such an overwhelming moment and one that has been so overwhelmingly been a joy of immense proportions .. My gratitude as ever,” he wrote on his blog.
