Taimur and Jeh's nanny Lalita D'Silva reveals Kareena Kapoor Khan follows her mother's religion; would play hymns for the boys

Lalita D’Silva has been spilling the tea on her professional life, working as a nanny for some of the biggest stars in the film industry, and also being a former caretaker of billionaire Anant Ambani. Lalita, who became a regular in tabloid pages when she was working for Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, shared some lesser-known details from the Pataudi household.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla’s Hindi Rush, the pediatric nurse shared some off-screen information about Kareena, including her parenting approach and even revealed her religious inclination. She revealed that the actress follows her mother, Babita Kapoor’s religion, which is Christianity. According to the report, she claimed that the actress used to request her to play hymns for Taimur and Jeh. Kareena also wanted her to play a Punjabi hymn — “Ek Onkaar” — and always tries to keep her kids surrounded by positive vibes. She also revealed that the actress kept the kids disciplined by setting up proper timetables, just like her mother.

While talking about Kareena being a working mom, Lalita shared that she actress always finds time to be with her kids as much as possible. She would often take Taimur and Jeh to the sets and keep a check on them during her half-hour or hour-long breaks. Lalita also shared that the doting mom would have lunch together with her boys. She mentioned that Kareena followed this practise to make sure that even her brief moments together with the boys were “valuable”.

Kareena and Saif married on October 16, 2012, in Mumbai. They welcomed their first child, Taimur, in 2016, and their second son, Jeh, was born in 2021.
On the work front, Kareena will be seen in ‘Buckingham Murders’ by Hansal Mehta, which will hit theatres on September 13. The film also stars Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen.
