Cyrus Broacha recalls hilarious moment with Salman Khan, ‘never seen a contestant fall asleep’

Cyrus Broacha, the comedian known for his quick wit and hilarious antics, recently shared some amusing stories from his time on Bigg Boss in an episode of his podcast Cyrus Says. Broacha, who is famous for shows like MTV’s The Bakra and his radio program Cyrus Broacha Show, entered the Bigg Boss house in 2023 for the second season of the OTT version of the popular reality show.

During his stint on Bigg Boss, Broacha had several memorable interactions with the show’s host, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. One such incident occurred during the first eviction episode, when Broacha unexpectedly fell asleep while Salman was delivering a serious lecture to a contestant. “It was the first eviction, and Salman was giving a serious lecture to someone. I was so tired that I started nodding off. Suddenly, Salman noticed and began laughing—he had never seen a contestant fall asleep while he was talking! Usually, everyone else is all ‘Salman Bhai,’ and there I was, napping,” Broacha recounted on his podcast

The food situation in the Bigg Boss house was not ideal for Broacha, who mentioned that Salman Khan sent him eggs on the day he left the show due to a family emergency. “He sent me eggs, but five minutes later, they told me to leave because of an issue with my son. After I exited, Pooja Bhatt’s father, Mahesh Bhatt, called to check on her. Apparently, as soon as I left, all the contestants went for the eggs, which upset Pooja. She was like, ‘Where’s the emotion?'” Broacha shared

Broacha also recalled another memorable encounter with the ‘Tiger’ actor during his early days at MTV. He had to interview the actor for his film Yuvraj, but he was completely hungover from the night before. “I was out until 3 in the morning, totally drunk. Salman’s secretary called at 9 AM for the interview, and I was still out of it. I even had to stop at Lucky Biryani to vomit. The only person who got what I was going through was Salman—no judgment from him,” Broacha recounted

Broacha’s co-host on the podcast, Cyrus Sahukar, added to the fun by mentioning another amusing interaction between Broacha and Khan. “Salman has always been super nice to you. The only time he seemed slightly irritated was when you kept asking, ‘Can I touch your arm?’ during an interview, and he was like, ‘Hey, take it easy,'” Sahukar said

Despite his early exit from Bigg Boss OTT 2 due to a family emergency, Broacha made a lasting impression on viewers with his quirky personality and ability to keep things light-hearted even in high-pressure situations. The ‘Dabangg’ actor, known for his no-nonsense approach, seemed to appreciate Broacha’s unique charm and sense of humor.

Broacha’s journey on Bigg Boss OTT 2 was cut short when he had to leave the show due to a sudden medical emergency in his family. In an episode, Salman informed Broacha about the situation and allowed him to exit the house

Reflecting on his experience, Broacha admitted that the pressure of being inside the Bigg Boss house had taken a toll on him. He had requested to leave the show, citing health concerns and the inability to cope with the environment. Khan, however, reminded Broacha of his contract and the commitment he had made to the show

Despite the challenges, Broacha’s wit and charm shone through, and he managed to entertain viewers with his unique brand of humor. As Broacha continues to entertain audiences with his podcast and other projects, his memorable moments on Bigg Boss will undoubtedly remain one of the major highlights of his illustrious career.
