Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, whois known for his philanthropic ways, feels that people shouldcompete for doing charity.
“I feel there should be competition in this area (doingcharity). I am sure everyone would be doing charity. I thinkeveryone should open a charitable trust and then see where itreaches…to what level,” Salman told reporters here at thepress conference of opening of his flagship ‘Being Human’store in suburban Bandra.
Salman, who has on various occasions lent his star powerto charitable causes, said that many of the industry friendshave come forward and supported his charitable trust ‘BeingHuman’ Foundation.
“We do offer help to those who need money for education,cancer and ailments. From the industry Sanjay Dutt, KaranJohar have donated something. But we are not taking any helpas such… money is coming from clothing (from the stores),”the 47-year-old said. People can however offer help by logging on to thewebsite, he said.
The actor has stores of his clothing line in Belgium,France, Middle East and Spain. “The response has been good tothe stores and we are happy about it…we are excited aboutopening the store here,” Salman said. Talking about the USP of ‘Being Human’, he said, “thequality is good…its nice and different. One can make out..differentiate between fake and real ‘Being Human’ T-shirts.” Salman, however said he would not be promoting theapparel brand in films because “the characters that I playwon’t look good in those T-shirts.” he said.

Every single tanker has the capacity to hold 2000 litres of water. For instance, Salman Khan’s Being Human once paid Rs. 40 lakhs to the court to free 400 jail dwellers.
The dwellers were unable to come out despite serving their terms, and the reason behind it was the fact that they hadn’t paid the fine sentenced to them by the court. After knowing about this, Salman Khan immediately paid the amount, freed the dwellers, and changed their lives forever.
