In the One World-One Family T20 exhibition match at Sai Krishnan Cricket Stadium in Muddenahalli, Karnataka, Sachin Tendulkar faced off against the former Sri Lankan spin maestro. Tendulkar had amassed 27 runs off 16 balls before Muttiah Muralitharan entered the attack. However, the seasoned spinner shattered the hopes of the crowd by dismissing Tendulkar on the very first ball he bowled.

Throughout their cricket careers, batting legend Sachin Tendulkar and off-spin maestro Muttiah Muralitharan have faced-off numerous times in India-Sri Lanka battles, and the two cricket icons rolled the clock back on Thursday when they returned to the field of play in their playing gears for the One World-One Family T20 exhibition match.

Tendulkar had scored 27 off 16 balls for the One World team when the former Sri Lankan spin wizard came into the attack, and broke the hearts of the crowd present at the Sai Krishnan Cricket Stadium in Muddenahalli, Karnataka, by dismissing Tendulkar off the first ball he delivered.

Muralitharan, Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif, who took Tendulkar’s catch at long-off to dismiss him, are part of the One Family team.

One Family had posted 180/6 batting first in the T20 game, and the One World team had scored 72/1 in seven overs in response at the time of this report.
Tendulkar tried to attack Murali off the very first ball he faced from the Sri Lankan but could not clear Kaif at long-on.
