Diljit Dosanjh teaches Punjabi to Jimmy Fallon; Priyanka Chopra comments 'It’s the Oye for me'

A humorous video featuring actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh and comedian-host Jimmy Fallon trading gloves was shared on The Tonight Show’s Instagram page. Diljit taught Jimmy Falon Punjabi in a different video. The amusing videos were shot in the US backstage of The Tonight Show. As previously announced, Diljit will be making his television debut on the show, performing his hit songs, such as “G.O.A.T.” and “Born to Shine.”


In addition to his talent as a vocalist, Diljit is renowned for his performance attire. Diljit is seen sporting traditional Punjabi clothing, including a pleated fan and a matching turban, in the video that was uploaded on Fallon Tonight’s Instagram page.
He also brought a black glove, which he traded for Jimmy Fallon’s personalised glove emblazoned with the show’s insignia.
In another BTS, Diljit taught Jimmy Fallon how to speak in Punjabi. Fallon took to his Instagram handle to share the video and wrote, ‘Sat Sri Akal! @diljitdosanjh’ Learning how to speak Punjabi with Diljit Dosanjh.

The comment that caught everyone’s attention was from Priyanka Chopra, she wrote, ‘It’s the Oye for me.’
While Rohan Gandotra wrote, “This guy can make anyone speak in Punjabi. Ed sheeran, Prabhas and now Jimmy fallon ”
A fan wrote, “You can either— sit and wonder how you fit in and learn English OR you go there and teach them Punjabi!”
Another one wrote, ” You amplified an entire community and culture today @jimmyfallon appreciate you allowing our brother @diljitdosanjh to share the gift he has been giving us for the past 20 years, with the entire world.”
Diljit Dosanjh’s outstanding performances in international concerts have been putting India on the map. He made history by being the first singer from Punjab to perform at Coachella, the world-famous music festival.

Professionally, he received recognition for his role in “Amar Singh Chamkila,” directed by Imtiaz Ali. He is now preparing for the June 27 theatrical premiere of “Jatt and Juliet 3.”
