Time passes quick when you’re happy. Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh celebrated their very first wedding anniversary this week. The two tied the knot last year in a private ceremony at the scenic Lake Como, Italy. Following an outdoor mehandi ceremony, Padukone and Singh sealed the deal last November in a traditional Konkani ceremony on November 14, 2018, and then also celebrated their union with an Anand Karaj ceremony on November 15.

Exactly a year post their Konkani wedding, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were spotted at the Tirupati Balaji Temple in Andhra Pradesh to seek blessings at the Balaji and Padmavati Temples yesterday. The duo were seen beaming at each other in coordinated Sabyasachi looks: Padukone in a Benarasi sari that was gifted to her by her in-laws, and Singh in a white kurta and gold Nehru jacket.

But that’s not where the couple’s anniversary celebrations ended. Early this morning, exactly a year since their Anand Karaj ceremony, the stars also paid a visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar, where they were present for the first aarti for the day.

Just before dawn, pictures of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh took over the internet as they attended the morning aarti with their families at the temple. They duo were accompanied by Prakash and Ujjala Padukone, Anisha Padukone, Jagjit Singh and Anju Bhavnani, and Ritika Bhavnani. Along with a picture of herself at the Golden Temple, Padukone also shared a sweet collage of both the auspicious places she and Singh had visited on their special day.

To mark their wedding anniversary, the couple had a busy two days planned. Post their Tirupati darshan, the two flew straight to Amritsar to make it in time for the morning aarti at the Golden Temple. For the same, Padukone and Singh gave couturier Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s regal creations their nod of approval once again. While Padukone opted for a maroon embroidered kurta with dhoti pants (styled with a chunky neckpiece, layers of bangles and a generous dose of sindoor), Singh went with slightly softer hues and accompanied his wife in a lilac kurta set patterned with pastel blooms.

“As we celebrate our first wedding anniversary, we seek blessings at Harmandir Sahib.Thank You all for your love, prayers and good wishes!” Padukone said on her Instagram page.
