The Bollywood actor is the only Indian to be honoured with customised gold coins bearing his name by the Grevin Museum in Paris, France. After being immortalised by wax statues in several parts of the world, including the USA, UK, Germany and India, the gold coins are a new addition to the accolades the actor has received for his illustrious journey.
The Grevin Museum is a popular tourist attraction in Paris. It is a wax museum situated on the Grands Boulevards on the right bank of Seine. The museum is also known as Musée Grévin, and also has a chapter in Seoul. It was opened in Paris in 1882 by journalist Arthur Meyer, and is inspired by Madame Tussauds in London. It is named after its first artistic director Alfred Grévin, and is one of the oldest wax museums in Europe known for its baroque architecture.
