Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, a coming-of-age romance, was one of the highest moments in her career. The film minted Rs. 319.6 crores globally. Taking the successful streak forward was Chennai Express, the highest-grossing film of all time, which raked in Rs. 424.54 crores.
Deepika’s collaborations with Sanjay Leela Bhansali proved fruitful. The duo’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela did a business of Rs. 207.33 crores whereas Bajirao Mastani made Rs. 355.61 crores and Padmaavat minted ₹571.96 crores worldwide.
Apart from period dramas and romantic films, Deepika showed her range with Piku (Rs. 148.96 crores) and Tamasha (₹131.84 crores). This year, Deepika had two releases. She started the year with Fighter. The aerial action drama collected Rs. 337.2 crores. Kalki 2898 AD released in June and minted Rs. 1200 crores only domestically.
