Actor Priyanka Chopra has condemned the terrorist attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district. Calling the attack heinous, the actor said she is “devastated” by the news. Rupali Ganguly, Rashmika Mandanna, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Richa Chadha, Mohit Raina, Preity Zinta, and Bipasha Basu, among others, also mourned the victims of the attack.

The attack killed nine people. Thirty-three others were injured after terrorists opened fire on a bus carrying pilgrims who were returning to Katra from the Shiv Khori temple in Reasi on June 9.

“Devastated. This heinous attack on innocent pilgrims is horrific. Why civilians and children?! It’s so hard to comprehend the hatred we’re witnessing around the world,” Priyanka wrote on Instagram.

‘Heeramandi’ actor Richa Chadha wrote on X, “Only cowards can attack pilgrims peacefully headed to a place of worship. May justice be served. Heartbreaking news at the start of this week.” Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar said his prayers are with the victims of the attack as he wrote on X, “I am deeply saddened and devastated by the images of the Reasi terror attack. My prayers are with the victims and their families.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared the news item about the attack along with a heartbroken emoji. Rashmika wrote on her Instagram stories, “My heart goes out to all the victims affected by the Reasi attack. Horrified. Innocent lives lost. My heartfelt condolences to all the victims and their families. Praying for the speedy recovery of all those injured.”

Ayushmann Khurrana also called the attack “devastating,” and Varun Dhawan condemned the “cowardly terrorist attack.”
