Abhishek Bachchan turned off the comments section of his new post amid the rumours of his and Aishwarya Rai’s divorce. The actor shared a new video from the Paris Olympics on Instagram. The video featured several highlights, including Neeraj Chopra’s silver medal win in the sport of Javelin throwing. However, what many noticed is that he had disabled the comments section. This is the first time since September 2022 that Abhishek turned off the comments section.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have been married for 17 years.

In the post, Abhishek shared a collage of his memories from Olympics 2024 in Paris and wrote, “It was amazing to get to witness the #parisolympics2024 with my friends from #Omega. We’ve worked together for about 18 years and their attention to detail and timekeeping has always awed me. The energy in the entire city was palpable and especially in the stadiums. And then to have the honour of seeing our very own @neeraj____chopra was the icing on the cake. Seeing our beloved tricolour in the stadium was a moment of such pride!!! Felt like.…Paradise.”

The post coincidentally came a day after the internet got confused by a statement Abhishek made about his marriage a few years ago. In 2016, when he was attending the premiere of Aishwarya’s 2016 film, Sarbjit, Abhishek was asked if ‘things were not good’ between him and Aishwarya. Abhishek replied, “I don’t have to say anything to you all about that.”

Showing his wedding ring, he had said he’s ‘still married.’ Abhishek added, “I think, you all have blown the entire thing out of proportion, sadly. But I understand why you do it. You all have to file some stories. It’s okay, we’re celebrities, we have to take it. Still married, sorry.” A few publications claimed that the comment was recent, which caused a confusion on social media.

Abhishek and Aishwarya have been married for 17 years now. The couple shares a daughter, named Aaradhya Bachchan. However, their recent public appearances have the internet speculating that all might not be good between Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. While Aishwarya chose to make a solo appearance at a recent wedding despite the Bachchan family present at the wedding as well, Abhishek was seen travelling to Paris alone.
