Tishaa Kumar, the 20-year-old daughter of T-Series co-owner Krishan Kumar, has passed away
Tishaa Kumar, the 20-year-old daughter of actor-filmmaker Krisha Kumar, has passed away after a long battle with an illness. T-Series, the production house co-owned by Krishan, has confirmed her demise and asked fans to respect the family’s privacy.
News 18 quoted a T-Series spokesperson stating, “Tishaa Kumar, daughter of Krishan Kumar, passed away yesterday after a prolonged battle with an illness. This is difficult time for the family, and we kindly request that family’s privacy is respected.”
Krishan Kumar is a former actor, who is the younger brother of Gulshan Kumar, the late founder of T-Series. He began his career in films in the 90s as an actor, appearing in a number of films, and best known for the 1995 hit Bewafa Sanam. However, after his acting career did not pan out, Krishan turned to behind-the-camera work. Following Gulshan Kumar’s murder in 1997, Krishan managed T-Series till Gulshan’s son – Bhushan Kumar – came of age.
Both Krishan and Bhushan have jointly run T-Series for over two decades now, transforming it from a music company that occasionally dabbled in films to a full-fledged production house. They have produced films such as Ready, Darling, Airlift, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and Animal.
