On February 10, 2024, Amitabh Bachchan was spotted paying a second visit to the newly established Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. For the unversed, Big B was one of the notable invitees to the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the temple. The legend was seen donning a white kurta-pyjama, teamed with an orange Nehru coat, while he offered his prayers. Moreover, he also made a huge donation of gold jewellery to the temple on his visit.

The inauguration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya was a glorified celebratory event, held back on January 22, 2024. It saw a large number of gathering of VVIP guests, including the who’s who of Bollywood. Among other actors and actresses who were invited to witness the once-in-a-lifetime event, Amitabh Bachchan, too, was spotted jetting off for the same, a day before. He was accompanied by his doting son, Abhishek Bachchan.

Amitabh Bachchan purchased a plot in Ayodhya for Rs. 14.5 crores

Previously, a report by the Hindustan Times claimed that Amitabh Bachchan had purchased a plot in the city of Ayodhya. The place was a part of a promised 7-star mixed use enclave named ‘The Sarayu’ whose construction has already started off. Spaced over a massive area of 51 acres, the spot has already grabbed the attention of Big B, who not just purchased a plot over there, but also intends to build a home on it, that would be spaced over 10,000 square feet. The valuation of the plot came about at a whopping Rs. 14.5 crores. Talking about his desire of creating a home in Ayodhya, Big B had said:

“I am looking forward to embark on this journey with The House of Abhinandan Lodha for The Sarayu in Ayodhya, a city that holds a special place in my heart. The timeless spirituality and cultural richness of Ayodhya have forged an emotional connection that transcends geographical boundaries. Well, agree or not, Amitabh Bachchan has been grabbing a lot of attention off lately, due to the buzz about an impending feud among his family members. Reportedly, all is not well between the Bachchan clan’s bahu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who isn’t on the same page with her in-laws. With so much having been gossiped about the same frequently, Big B, back on January 24, 2024, dropped a cryptic post on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote:

“I am late and work is calling me urgently .. so I beg to be excused .. I shall endeavour to fill in the blanks soon .. Apologies.”
